If you follow me on facebook, you might have noticed my status from yesterday: "God answers even selfish prayers. :)". I thought I would explain and clarify what I meant and bring glory to my wonderful Lord...and also to my husband, hehe.
I was having a rough day yesterday, dealing with a crabby and at times tantrumy 18-month old. I just wanted to curl up into a ball and sleep, forgetting about my motherly duties and dinner. Peter and I usually email back and forth throughout the day. I hadn't heard from him in awhile and so I decided to pause in the middle of a project to pray for my him and the remainder of his day at work. I inserted this at the end of my prayer I know this is selfish of me to ask Lord, but would you prompt Peter to do something special for me to brighten up my day? Not 30 minutes later, low and behold, Peter walks in with purple tulips...my favorite flowers ever (and mind you they *weren't* v-day flowers...just I-was-thinking-about-you-and-wanted-you-to-feel-special flowers)! God is so good to me...as is my wonderful husband, Peter.♥
